Evelyn Henry Reconciliation Scholarship
Mizze Walker
The inaugural recipient of the EHRS Scholarship will always hold a very special place in our hearts as this award was developed in the memory of one of our Chapter T sisters.
Mizze is a remarkable young woman - an honors student in the field of Indigenous Studies - who is as dedicated to her culture and reconciliation as she is to her education.
She developed a program called 'Reconciliation 101', she is currently employed as an Indigenous liason, and she has received numerous awards related to her work around reconciliation including recognition from the Governor General of Canada. Mizze dedicates\everything that she does to her father, who was a residential school survivor.
Wela'lin Mizze.
It has been an honour to meet you
and we wish you all the best.
Evelyn would have been so very proud!
The Inaugural EHRS was awarded
in May 2023.
